About the opportunity
This is a mandate for an exceptional General Manager who can step into a start-up environment ready for structure, clarity and strong direction.
You will take the reins across operations, people and commercial performance, bringing discipline and pace to a growing organisation that wants to lift its game.
The business needs a leader who can turn vision into a clear operating rhythm, build capability around them and create a culture where everyone knows what good looks like and how to deliver it.
From day 1, you set the tone. You build trust quickly, create a stable rhythm for the team and establish standards that drive consistency. By month 3, you have oversight of the entire operation, key risks are understood and controlled, priorities are clear and execution is sharper. By month 6, the business is moving as one under your leadership. By month 12, systems, behaviours and delivery are stronger because of you. This is a role for a leader who enjoys stepping into complexity and bringing order, confidence and momentum.

About you
You are a builder of people, accountability and culture. You thrive when you can take a business from good intentions to high performance. You bring a track record of operational leadership, team development and commercial oversight, within the Construction sector. You know how to diagnose quickly, set direction and galvanise a team around clear expectations. You communicate with clarity, act decisively and stay calm in the noise. You want a role where your leadership can be felt, not hidden. You enjoy rolling up your sleeves as much as you enjoy shaping strategy. You have a proven track record in leading Manufacturing and Construction teams. Ideally you can bring the following traits and experience.
• Senior operations leader with a history of delivering at pace in manufacturing and/or construction. 
• Experience in a startup or high change environment. Must stay calm under pressure. 
• Strong operational background with the ability to move from planning to execution quickly. 
• Confident working with engineering, drafting, estimators and trade teams. 
• Skilled at recruiting and building teams fast using labour hire and temp to perm models. 
• Comfortable being on site, in the factory and solving problems with sleeves rolled up. 
• Resilient and unflappable when things go wrong. 
• Humble, practical, low ego, strong communicator. 
• Comfortable taking direction from a female founder and working closely with her. 
• Not political, not precious. Capable of healthy push back and solution focused thinking. 
• Strong commercial judgement with an eye for cost control and margin protection.
