Your expertise isn’t just in analysing data; it’s in understanding the complexities of the energy market and how risk factors into every decision. Your experience with at-risk models, like VaR and EaR, is essential. You’re not just familiar with these concepts; you’ve been immersed in them, perhaps even building models or exploring Monte Carlo simulations. Your analytical mindset is your greatest asset, enabling you to dissect and understand the nuances of risk in the energy sector. You’re a problem-solver, always eager to learn and contribute, and your communication skills make you an invaluable liaison between different teams, especially when explaining complex risk scenarios.
About the Opportunity
As an Energy Market Risk Analyst, your role is both varied and integral to our clients operations. You’ll be deeply involved in analysing and managing the risks associated with energy trading. You’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining risk models, ensuring they accurately reflect current market conditions and regulatory requirements. Your role is crucial in maintaining the balance between risk and reward, ensuring the strategies are both aggressive enough to capitalise on market opportunities and conservative enough to protect against volatility. Your contributions will directly impact operational efficiency and the accuracy of risk assessments, making you a key player in our ongoing success in the energy market.
