About the Opportunity 

This is a defining career move for an accomplished Chief Financial Officer who thrives at the intersection of strategy, structure and growth. You will join a privately owned Australian group at a pivotal point in its evolution – a business transitioning from traditional foundations to a more integrated enterprise with significant national operations. 

Operating at substantial scale with multi-million-dollar revenues and a workforce exceeding 150, the group is entering an exciting phase of consolidation and expansion. You will take ownership of the organisation’s financial strategy, governance and performance – a role for a leader who can see the big picture yet roll up their sleeves to build systems, processes and capability from the ground up. You’ll guide the shift from outsourced accounting to a high-performing internal finance function, shaping the framework that underpins capital allocation, investment performance and long-term value creation. 

About You 

Your background spans construction, infrastructure or renewable energy – sectors where scale, complexity and capital discipline define success. Experience within a family office, private investment group or founder-led business will be highly regarded, particularly where you’ve built or transformed finance functions and navigated growth through both operational and investment lenses.  

You have led multi-entity finance operations, driven M&A transactions, and raised substantial debt and equity. Above all, you are steady under pressure – decisive, composed and able to earn trust quickly across diverse stakeholders. You bring commercial acumen, humility and influence in equal measure. You know how to balance strategic foresight with hands-on delivery, and how to lead teams confidently through growth, transformation and change.
