Build structure and accountability to support scalable growth
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead factory operations within a growing modular home manufacturing environment.
This role has been created to support the next phase of growth. Production volumes are increasing and the business is deliberately investing in stronger manufacturing discipline, clearer accountability and more structured ways of working.
You will take full ownership of factory performance and play a central role in lifting consistency, quality and throughput, while shaping a production model that can scale sustainably.
The Role
You will be accountable for end-to-end factory operations across safety, quality, cost, delivery and people.
The focus is on embedding lean manufacturing principles, improving production planning and materials flow, reducing rework and incomplete builds, and strengthening day-to-day execution on the factory floor.
You will also play a key role in improving how the factory is run from a systems and information perspective, moving away from paper-heavy processes toward more structured, fit-for-purpose production tools that support visibility, control and decision-making.
This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong on-site presence.
Key Accountabilities
- Factory production performance and throughput
- Lean manufacturing implementation and continuous improvement
- Quality, build completeness and defect reduction
- Production planning, scheduling and materials coordination
- Cost control and margin improvement
- Leadership of a large trade-based workforce
- Operational systems uplift and process discipline
- WHS, quality and compliance standards
- Input into future factory design and scale planning
Who This Suits
This role will suit a senior manufacturing or production leader who enjoys building structure where it does not yet fully exist.
You may come from modular, offsite, automotive, aerospace, heavy manufacturing or another complex, multi-stage production environment. Construction experience is helpful but not essential.
What matters most is your ability to lead people on the floor, embed lean thinking, introduce disciplined processes and lift operational performance in a practical, commercially grounded way.
Why Join
- Clear mandate to shape how the factory operates
- Strong support from engaged, hands-on owners
- Visible impact in the first 12 months
- Long-term growth runway and future factory planning involvement
- Executive-level remuneration aligned to responsibility and outcomes
- Relocation assistance considered
This is an opportunity to put a lasting operational stamp on a business entering its next stage of growth.
