Tom Potter is a self-made, successful Australian entrepreneur. As a young man with a passion for the food industry, and with a small amount of working capital in partnership with him mum, he founded Eagle Boys pizza. This podcast interview is a great expose into how Tom built the business to becoming a household name in Australia and New Zealand, up until he eventually sold out to pursue other interests.
In 2005 he was recognised by the Franchise Council of Australia as the inaugural member of the Hall of Fame and became the Chairman of the leading Australian body (Hall Of Fame Committee) in 2013. He is a twice recipient of the Australia Day Patron.
Since leaving, Tom has written a book about his Eagle Boys experience called The Eagle Boys Pizza Story, which was published in 2009. He is a public speaker and is engaged to speak at conferences on a very regular basis and as well as that, he is on a number of boards of food and franchising related businesses through Australia and even in the U.S.A. Tom has a very down to earth, humble style and I thoroughly enjoyed interviewing him and learning more about his story. Sit back and enjoy this conversation with Tom Potter.
