About the Opportunity:
This exciting opportunity offers you the chance to step into a pivotal role where you will manage and optimise key technical contracts in an ASX100 listed organisation. Your expertise will drive efficiencies in procurement and logistics operations, ensuring the company achieves its strategic and financial objectives. You’ll oversee a diverse portfolio of contracts, including those related to landfill management including a Quarry, environmental services, and 3PL logistics, maintaining strict compliance with all contractual requirements.
Collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners, you’ll navigate a range complex contracts valued up to $30M each, ensuring seamless project execution. Your insights will directly influence operational strategies and contribute to long-term success. With a hybrid working model, you’ll have the flexibility to work remotely while maintaining a strong on-site presence in Melbourne’s West, typically 2-3 days a week. This role is designed for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, where strategic decisions and negotiations make a tangible impact.
About You:
You’re an experienced professional with a background in waste management, construction, transport, or infrastructure, particularly where projects involved working with soil, clay, sand, or rock. Whether you’ve managed large-scale projects, overseen civil works, or navigated the complexities of site management, you have a strong understanding of technical and contractual elements.
Your contract management skills are second to none — you’ve faced challenges, solved problems, and delivered successful outcomes. You’re comfortable negotiating, influencing, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Perhaps you’ve worked in soil testing, cell construction, or landfill capping, or have experience managing third-party logistics. You have a willingness to dive into new technical areas with a growth mindset. You’re naturally curious and eager to learn, applying a technical lens to solve operational challenges.
What’s on Offer?
This role comes with a range of benefits, both professionally and personally. There are various career growth opportunities within this stable, recession-proof industry, with potential to move into senior roles in operations, procurement, or engineering. Not only will you be given the opportunity to make a real difference in an organisation committed to sustainability and innovation, but you will also have access to a hybrid working environment and professional development and mentorship.
