About the Opportunity
This is a career-defining role for a passionate HR professional ready to build something meaningful from the ground up. You’ll join a respected and well established business entering a rapid growth phase – driven by major infrastructure projects and long-term strategic investment. Working shoulder-to-shoulder with the senior leadership team, you’ll play a lead role in shaping structure, systems, and employee experience across the entire lifecycle.
Your mission is to bring fit-for-purpose HR to a values-led, blue-collar environment – influencing how the business attracts, retains, and empowers its people. From creating compliant yet user-friendly frameworks, to supporting workforce planning, capability uplift, and performance culture – this is a hands-on and highly visible position with executive access and board interest. It’s also a rare opportunity to take full ownership of change, be the architect of scalable people systems, and make a legacy-level impact.
About You
You’re a confident HR generalist with strong knowledge of employment law, modern awards, and Fair Work legislation. You’ve worked in operational or blue-collar environments like construction, manufacturing, or resources, and know how to balance compliance with common sense.
With experience across the full employee lifecycle, you’ve managed complex ER matters, developed practical frameworks, and advised on everything from recruitment and onboarding to performance and conduct. If you’ve built HR processes from the ground up – even better. You understand that how information is delivered is just as important as what it says.
