About the Opportunity
Are you an accomplished Business Development Manager looking to elevate your career in a high-growth, fast-paced industry?
Our client needs a high-performing, sales expert, a “hunter” who is ready to take the reins to grow their market share in the Queensland office. This role is pivotal to driving business growth and market expansion, with a focus on forging strong relationships with key clients in the construction and mining sectors. Reporting into the Executive, you will be empowered to strategically expand market presence, identify new business opportunities and enhance client engagement. You will manage high-value client accounts, develop and execute sales strategies, and work closely with internal teams to meet ambitious revenue targets. With a strong foundation in place, your role will be instrumental in helping the company achieve its vision of continued growth and industry leadership. Depending on your existing relationships this role can either be geographically based or you could have a national reach.
About You
You are a seasoned Business Development Manager (BDM) with a proven track record ideally within B2B equipment hire. You excel in building and maintaining relationships with tier 1, 2, and 3 contractors, and have experience growing market share in competitive environments. With a deep understanding of the civil construction and mining industries, you are commercially astute, results-driven, and confident in your ability to drive sales and meet KPIs. As an experienced business development guru, who is completely results driven, you know how to maintain, build and nurture a highly profitable portfolio that is always evolving and briming with opportunities to explore and fulfil.
Your communication and negotiation skills are top-notch, and you thrive on delivering exceptional client service while working in a high-energy, entrepreneurial environment. You’re flexible, adaptable, and excited by the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company’s growth trajectory. You are strategic in your approach and keep your finger on the pulse of the industry, key targets and projects. Customers enjoy buying off you as you build strong relationships based on trust. You understand the cycles of business and collaborate with operations to ensure maximum optimisation.
