About the Opportunity:
This rare and exciting opportunity is available due to growth and expansion, offering you a chance to join the highly reputed consultancy business and work with some of Australia’s leading Coal miners, with primary focus within QLD and the Bowen Basin.
In this full-time salaried role, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of mine plans. Operating on a flexible FIFO roster departing from any major city on the East Coast, you will lead the way in contributing comprehensively to short-term mine planning, scheduling, blast pattern designs, and more, all aimed at driving cost-efficiency, achieving desired outcomes, and fostering positive client feedback. You will enjoy the added flexibility of working from home, the office, and client sites.
Your responsibilities encompass the optimization of all facets of coal mining operations, spanning resource allocation, safety adherence, and environmental compliance. At the respective sites, your role may entail the supervision of skilled miners and support teams, fostering their collaborative efforts to meet production targets while upholding safety and environmental standards. Beyond effective coal extraction, your role extends to proposing value-added solutions, encompassing equipment maintenance, cost management, and data-driven insights to enhance overall operational efficiency.
About You:
You are a seasoned mining engineer with strong technical ability and prior experience working on contractor-based sites. You have broad skills in coal mining and have proven success executing robust mine plans, driving outcomes and cost savings. You will be familiarity with drill blast techniques, and truck/shovel methods. Exposure to draglines is advantageous. You hold a strong sense of pride in your work and collaborate with all stakeholders effectively to ensure key deliverables are met.
