You are an accomplished Sales Manager or Strategic Account Manager with a proven track record of success. You will have experience in timber, building materials, or a closely related industry. You are an adaptable leader who can evidence influencing strategy, driving team performance, and engaging with key clients face-to-face. You bring high energy, confidence, and strategic thinking to everything you do, excelling at analyzing market trends, assessing competitive landscapes, and fostering long-term client relationships. About The Opportunity
Due to an internal transition, a new opportunity has arisen for a Sales Manager to lead strategic sales in the NSW market. You’ll be managing a team of 4 direct reports and working closely with a broader team of 9. Your customer base includes major retailers such as Bunnings and other large manufacturers. The focus of this role is on maintaining strong customer relationships, driving account management, and influencing strategic sales in a cyclical industry with long-term demand outpacing supply. In this role, you will assess the current sales strategy and provide insights to senior leadership, recommending improvements where necessary. The NSW market faces unique challenges compared to other regions, and your ability to adapt, lead, and innovate will be key to ensuring continued growth. You’ll also collaborate with other state managers to align strategies and address national trends, maximizing value through customer selection and pricing optimization. This role can be based anywhere in Sydney, providing you are willing to stravel inter and occasionally intra-state.
