A generous relocation package is provided inclusive of an initial 6 months accommodation for these full-time, permanent roles.
About the Role:
As a Production Superintendent, you will provide strong leadership to a production team, driving a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a chemical manufacturing plant. You will lead and develop your team, ensuring alignment with production schedules, high-quality standards, and strict regulatory compliance. Your ability to inspire, communicate effectively, and problem-solve will be critical in maintaining smooth operations, fostering accountability, and optimizing performance in a high-paced environment.
Key Deliverables:
- Champion the company operations, team, and plant processes.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, especially plant operators, and engage in safety procedures and operational standards.
- Take responsibility for a designated plant area, participating in pre-start meetings and production planning. Develop competency in key plant areas.
- Manage operational tasks including authorisation of high-risk work permits, troubleshooting, risk assessments, and address emerging issues through feedback loops.
- Act as a change agent to improve processes and strengthen communication with cross-functional teams.
- Lead improvements in plant operations, safety, and operational efficiency, and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Fully integrate into the leadership role, gain trust from operators and staff, and take ownership of critical plant processes for continued success.
Ideal Candidate:
- Able to relocate to Biloela.
- Proven success in managing and coaching an operational team.
- Heavy industry experience such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Utilities, manufacturing or similar.
- Operational plant experience including safety leadership.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and environments, with a proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement.
- Relevant qualifications such as Cert IV in Process Plant Technology or engineering degree.
- Must be able to obtain SSAN clearance.
