About the Opportunity
A prominent chemical manufacturing firm situated in Moura, a vibrant locale nestled in the Dawson Valley near Biloela, central Queensland, is currently seeking skilled Process Engineers to fill several new roles. These positions are pivotal to the company’s cutting-edge ammonium nitrate production facility, prioritizing safety and operational efficiency. The ideal candidates will each assume full responsibility for a designated plant, with end-end responsibilities, engaging in various projects, safety protocols, compliance oversight, risk evaluations, technical analyses, and spearheading initiatives for ongoing enhancement of plant operations to achieve production targets.

About You
You are a qualified Chemical Engineer (Australian Engineers Accredited AEAC qualification) with at least two years PQE, progressing to 5+ for the senior role. You will have hands-on site-based experience and transferrable skills likely gained within the Chemical Manufacturing, Ammonia, or Oil & Gas sectors. Known for your problem-solving prowess, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities, you are adaptable, eager to tackle new challenges, and committed to lifelong learning and continuous improvement. For the senior role your expertise includes proficiency in risk assessment methodologies such as HAZOP and LOPA, a deep understanding of process and equipment optimisations, strong project management skills, and a talent for developing technical documentation.
