About you
You have a degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with significant experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment such as sugar manufacturing, hydrocarbon manufacturing, petrochemical, chemical or closely related field. You will have a track record of driving change and operational excellence through system and process optimisations. You will have demonstrated leadership skills and strong technical and financial aptitude. You are comfortable in a fast-paced start-up environment and can comfortably make decisions with limited information. You are innovative and strategically minded yet also hands-on in your approach.
About the role
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to become an integral part of the executive leadership team, responsible for strategically leading and driving engineering, infrastructure development, and operational business goals. In this dynamic role, you will be hands-on, leading a rapidly growing team of 50+ across Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance to deliver business outcomes through strategic planning, project execution and operational excellence. You will play a pivotal role in optimising the current operations, taking it to the next level whilst ensuring the plant runs at capacity and in alignment with the plan, alongside contributing to the broader strategy to roll out additional facilities. Your pivotal role involves optimizing current operations for peak performance, ensuring full capacity utilization, and aligning with the plan. Additionally, you’ll contribute significantly to the overarching strategy for expanding and launching new facilities.
