About the Opportunity
We are delighted to present a unique opportunity for a dynamic and driven individual to join our client as the Superintendent Finance/Finance Manager. As the Superintendent Finance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape, managing and consolidating financial activities in line with the company’s strategic goals. Your role will encompass a broad range of responsibilities, from overseeing key finance processes to actively engaging in business partnerships and delivering incisive financial analysis to guide critical decision-making. Leading a team, you will be the catalyst for fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. More than just managing finances, this role positions you as a strategic leader, where your decisions will have a lasting impact on both the environment and the community.
The ideal candidate for this role is someone with professional working experience in mining, utilities, or a similar heavy industry, backed by a CPA/CA qualification or equivalent. You are known for being a quick learner, eager to expand your skills and career. Your approach to work is analytical and forward-thinking, always ready to apply judgment to make decisions that drive value and reduce risk. With your experience in financial reporting, you are adept at communicating complex financial information clearly and persuasively. You are down-to-earth and humble, with a natural ability to build lasting relationships. As a team player, you contribute to a collaborative work environment, ensuring everyone’s voice is heard and valued.
Ideally, this role is perfect for someone based in Darwin, NT, offering the best alignment with our client’s operational needs. However, they are also open to candidates based in Brisbane, provided you can commit to travelling to Darwin for at least one week each month.
