About the Opportunity
The Equipment and Asset Manager role is critical, with broad responsibilities covering multi-state operations. The position is designed for a leader who can navigate complex terrains requiring a nuanced understanding of strategic planning and operational efficiency. You will guide your team in assuring the fleet’s maintenance and compliance while also significantly reducing costs and driving efficiency. This is achieved through meticulous analysis of operational costs and the rollout of effective processes.
Your remit is not limited to the internal metrics; it extends to navigating an array of challenges, such as regulatory compliance and stakeholder management. As a resilient, hands-on leader, you’ll build and maintain a strong health and safety culture, work closely with internal departments like finance and procurement, and coordinate with external entities such as vehicle suppliers and maintenance service providers. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that the company’s high operational excellence and safety standards are met and consistently exceeded.About You
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in fleet and equipment management within an industrial services / heavy industry business. You will be strategically minded, yet also hands-on, and able to confidently navigate competing priorities across a broad stakeholder group.
