About you:
You will have a solid understanding of the Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Act and Legislation and a proven track record of working around its frameworks. You will have had experience working within or with Aboriginal Corporations or another relevant organisation. You are focused and strategic with the ability to present and report to both the Board and government. You will have exceptional facilitation and stakeholder liaison skills, ideally with experience working with Traditional Owners. You will have experience leading an outward focused team of contact staff in the delivery of projects and programs. You are highly organised, have high energy, and thrive in a dynamic, community focused situation. You are down to earth and possess an ability to build strong and lasting relationships across multiple functions.
A qualification in cultural heritage will be well regarded.
About the role:
Reporting to the CEO you will be leading a team to oversee and manage cultural heritage matters on traditional lands. You will have flexibility to develop the unit, build you stakeholder contacts and skills and input to strategy development.
